All patients wishing to get on a regular cleaning schedule will see either Dr. Sanders or Dr. Chandler for a comprehensive exam.
First, our amazing dental team will gather all the information to facilitate the dentist in your exam. This will include taking all relevant x-rays and checking you for gum disease. This is a great time to let us know if you are anxious about your appointment.
Next, your dentist will begin your exam! Dr. Sanders or Dr. Chandler will discuss your health history, any concerns you may have, and your dental goals. During your exam, your dentist will review your dental x-rays and complete an oral cancer screening, which includes an examination of your jaw, neck, tongue and inside of your mouth. This screening is important and recommended once per year.
Based on your exam, your dentist will develop a personalized treatment plan and discuss options with you.
Finally, out Treatment Coordinator will go over your treatment plan with you. This allows you to ask any questions and get an in-depth look at what reaching your dental goals will take.
